The Springfield Symphony Orchestra is the state of Massachusetts' largest symphony outside the Boston area. It puts on as many as 150 performances in a given year, and has been broadcast on many local radio stations, including NPR. Past concerts include renditions of Beethoven, Mozart, Gershwin, and many more. The SSO plays Symphony Hall, located in the town's South End neighborhod, near the Springfield Cemetery.
