The Zoo in Forest Park is a mid-sized wildlife education center with a variety of family-friendly programs and captive wildlife. It lies on the east side of the 735-acre park, about 4,000 feet due north from the east end of Porter Lake. Visitors can hop aboard a train that goes around the zoo, or just stroll on through, viewing cougars, parrots, foxes, and many exotic animals.
